The CUCAP Accommodation Booking Service System is used by international students in China to apply for university housing.Students who apply through CUCAP vare eligible for this service at no cost. Students can reserve student dorms after creating a CUCAP account. Should a student choose not to live on campus, CUCAP will suggest motels in the area.

When applying for housing at a Chinese university, keep the following additional factors in mind:
Comparing off-campus and on-campus
International students have the option of living in off-campus apartments or university dorms. In addition to being closer to their classes, living on campus might be easier and less expensive than renting an apartment.
The price
Accommodation costs differ depending on the university and housing type. For instance, housing at Beijing Language and Culture University costs between 80 and 150 RMB a day, while at China University of Political Science and Law, it costs about 450 RMB every semester.
Locating apartments off campus
Students who wish to reside off campus will have to arrange their own housing. For the first week, some advise making reservations at a hotel close to the institution to have time.
